Course Description: In this course, students will explore the creation and use of macros and will learn about various options available on the system.
Prerequisites: This course provides and intensive study into options and macros. Students should have a good working knowledge of CNC systems and be familiar with programming methods.
Outline:
  • Discuss programming fundamentals
  • Explore options available on the system and learn the functions of particular options
  • Explore macros and their use
  • Learn about system variables, call statements, IF/THEN and GOTO commands, and arithmetic functions
  • Learn to write custom macros, learn custom M code, learn custom G code
